Welcome to the All About The Legs series. You will work every part of your legs with innovative compound movements that engage maximum muscles at the same time. You will see standing and mat exercises, all with angle changes and unique combinations to help tighten your hips, thighs and butt and give you a strong lower body. The 4 Workouts are: Combinations (35 mins) you will start with a series of squats and lunges with leg raises to heat up the entire body. Then move to a chair segment with squats and leg raises in all directions! The combinations build up slowly in intensity with the last level being a big burner. Next a short down dog series before moving to the mat for some side lying leg sweeps. Finish with a lengthening stretch. Classic Mat (46 mins) you will see all your favourite outer thigh, inner thigh and glute exercises. The focus will be on perfect form to really engage every muscle for maximum results. There are not tricky combinations, just traditional exercises that are known and tried to burn and deliver results! Finish with a lengthening stretch. Long Lines (42 mins) you will see standing, down dog and mat exercises all with an emphasis of stretching and lengthening whilst strengthening. You will start with a warm up using the chair, then move into a tougher chair segment with some combination moves that build in intensity. Next move to the mat in a down dog position with the option to do some mini handstands along with raises and kicks. The last segment is on the mat in side lying position with raises and circles and a short inner thigh segment to finish. Finish with a lengthening stretch. Chair (50 mins) you will start with wide plie squats to front and back leg raises. Next a lunge to side kick and lunge to front knee combination. Then a kneeling glute raise combination with step ups and elevated raises. Next an all 4s combination using the chair as a cue for angled glute raises. Finally a side lying segment with various outer thigh raises. Finish with a lengthening stretch.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
