While this is not one of Cathe's best, it's a good step workout. It's advertised as having "easy" choreography. In reality, the choreography is not complex but it definitely is not easy. It took me a few sessions to master the moves, and I now enjoy the workout. Running about 40-45 minutes, it's good for days when your short on time. Be warned: this workout is high impact.  There's a warm up, three combos, the finished product where you do all combos twice, then a very short "blast" section.  I always work up a good sweat when I do this one.

This step workout has a different Cathe feel to me.  Not a good or a bad feel, just different.  The music and moves and cueing are what make me feel that way.  To be honest, I didn't care all that much for it the first time, but as I do it more often, I like it better and better.  It is a bit shorter and easier than I would like, but I just save it for an easy/short day.  It is listed as an advanced video but I would honestly categorize it as intermediate and maybe even beginner.  To me it was easy to learn (took a couple of times) and once I learned it, is easy to do without rocketing your HR up.  I don't reach for it often, but when I do I still enjoy it more each time.

The 1st time I did this, I thought the music was bad, the cueing was almost always on the move instead of before it, & it wasn't intense.  I pick up steps fast, but didn't catch on until the 2nd or 3rd time doing the combo b/c of late cueing. Well, the 2nd time I did this, I got all the moves immediately & had to eat my words on everything except the cueing (still not early enough but I caught on).  I actually liked the music (especially after the 1st combo), & when I got it all down & was able to put my energy into it, it was intense.  The DVD menu shows 3 combos & then "finished product", but there is another "combo" after "finished product" that is a mish-mash of basic moves that get the heart rate up.  I'm not sure why that is not on the menu...seems like a mistake or something (but no big deal).  Took off 1 star b/c the cueing could be much better (& is in Step Moves), but I think the steps are easy enough to catch on to & you won't need it after doing the workout a few times.
