The DVD has 2 short routines. Routine 1 is 20 minutes and is flexibility oriented, but with some strength. Routine 2 is more challenging - it works on strength and has a heart rate elevation effect. 25 minutes.
Tara Stiles is spectacular to watch at yoga. The flow is pretty different from the typical yoga vinyasa. No sun salutations. She starts Routine 2 with a one minute plank. Near the end, you find yourself in plank again and she makes you hold it again for a minute. I thought that was interesting. When I do planks I am mentally counting down seconds. She cues you to take t10 deep breaths. Planks seem easier when you count down 10 rather than 60. She manages to cover a lot of ground in a limited time. She works in crow, bridge, wheel, shoulder stand, plough, planks, bow, cosmic dancer, half moon, garland, down-dog variations, some standing poses if you do them both end to end. She also works in a cool standing balance flow.
