I like how Mike designed this dvd. It is very similar to his first, as he does the same type of movements with a few changes. His workouts are really the only ones that make me feel like I've worked out a lot longer than 40 min. These hit it all in 40 min. I concur with the previous reviewer, that his music is awful and he needs to chapter a little. He also is too talkative for my tastes, but I do this dvd often but try to tune him out.

This is a great workout for advanced exercisers.  Mike D has the most creative moves I've ever seen in a circuit workout and he doesn't forget the abs.  Sometimes instructors forget to give us a thorough and effective ab workout at the end, this is not the case here.  Two negatives however, the music is awful, I can't barely hear it, and when I do it seems like my nephew is using Garage Band in the background. I hope Mike uses better music in the future, good music can motivate us to work harder.  The other negative is the set.  I prefer the brighter set he used with his first workout.  Besides those, I still feel the workout is good and it gets a lot accomplished in less than an hour.

I have his first workout which I also do from time to time. His style is consistent and his moves are unique. This workout has the same style. Weight work/cardio/weight work/abs. I must say his ab work is exceptional!  His other moves are very efficient where you will work your arms, shoulders and legs in one smooth movement. It is easy to get through but also very effective. This is a total body workout that doesn't concentrate on one specific area. However the ab work is a standout.

Mike Donavanik uses the same formula which worked so well in his first DVD, "Extreme Burn" — two intense 45-minute cardio/strength metabolic-style workouts which can be combined into one 90-minute sweat-fest if you’re up for a challenge.

Again, Mike does what he does best, providing continuous form pointers and motivation to ensure that you’re working hard, yet staying safe.

I love both this and Mike's first workout, they're awesome workouts! I love this type of workout; metabolic conditioning workouts work better for me than any other type of workout. I hope he'll keep making more DVDs in this same format, I love long, super-tough and challenging workouts, Mike's DVDs are just that!
