This is a straight up, no frills, tough workout. Jari is personable and gives good form pointers. This is a great intro to Jari's workouts. It's hard but the modifications make it accessible for just about everyone.

This video was my introduction to Jari Love.  It's not my favorite, but I agree that it is a great strength training video. The format is like a Body Pump class, but I enjoy this at-home workout better. It's great for any level, and Jari gives fantastic form pointers and allows sufficient time for setup. I like how she shows the weight that everyone is using. Alternate this workout with straight cardio and you will see results.

I have all of Jari Love's workouts, but the original Get Ripped is still my favorite! I love that it focuses on weights rather than cardio and it is perfect for beginner's. There are a lot of great basic exercises in this DVD, but Jari adds variety by changing up the reps frequently. The upper body exercises really work the muscles until fatigue. There is a short ab segment as well and nothing too complicated. I also really like that Jari gives a lot of positive encouragement during her workouts.

I would rate this one as moderate.  I am an advanced exerciser but after a month long illness, this video was a great way to reintroduce weight training.  Good simple moves, with high reps.  Jari uses a barbell, but if you don't have, others use dumbbells & still get a fantastic workout!!
