GET ALL 5 METCON SERIES WORKOUTS Welcome to the MetCon Series. These workouts are designed to challenge your strength and fitness with a combination of moderate weights and higher cardio factor. You will see a lot of combination exercises that use multiple muscle groups and the pace will be faster to increase the heart rate and burn fat, whilst sculpting your muscles. The 5 Workouts are: Cardio Sculpt (23 min): you will use just your body weight with some fast paced, high energy exercises that will get your heart rate up and your muscles burning. You will do 3 rounds of each exercise with variations each round. There are 3 different exercise groupings that you will do on one side first with a cardio interval between and then complete on the other side. Combinations (23 min): you will use moderate weights with compound exercises and fun upper and lower combinations to get the heart rate up and build muscle. There are lots of lateral moves as well as rotations, so that you will also improve your mobility. There are straight cardio and abs intervals mixed in. Compound (22 min): A moderately paced, walking workout with variations every 60 seconds to keep things fun. This one is a 'walk and talk,' where I will be chatting to you about reasons why we get belly fat and things we can do to help lose it. Dynamic (24 min): you will use just your body weight with some fast paced, high energy exercises that will get your heart rate up and your muscles burning. You will see lots of squats and lunges as well as mini handstands and down dog leg raises. There are modifications for the handstands if you prefer not to do them. Weights & Band (23 min): you will use medium dumbbells and a resistance band to sculpt and burn the entire body. You will see a lot of compound moves using both upper and lower body to increase the challenge. There are intervals of 45 seconds of work with 15 seconds of rest. You will start with a band interval and then use the dumbbells to hit the same muscle group.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it! |
