Many of today’s yoga postures are named after animals, such as Lion and Tortoise, reflecting the characteristic movements of these species. This challenging sequence, entitled Animal Yoga, captures the nuances of some of nature’s most powerful and resilient creatures. Comprised of a careful combination of stretching and strengthening, with modification options, this flowing sequence provides a challenge for practitioners of all levels.

3 of 5 Not for me July 24, 2014
Reviewer: Anonymous Person
I was frustrated and that is not a good thing for what I look for in a Yoga practice. I want to be able to enjoy and feel the calm. This was frustrating because the moves where fast and terrible queuing. I was lost. There where great moves and I like the idea of doing the animal poses. Maybe someone more seasoned in Yoga might love it.

3 of 5 For advanced yogis July 7, 2014
Reviewer: from Pittsburgh, PA
This DVD has lots of potential. There are some amazing poses, many of which I've not seen in other yoga DVDs (tortoise, partridge, frog). That being said, the instruction leaves a lot to be desired. It's slower than the moves, so when you look up you realize you're several beats behind Nicole. That wouldn't be as big of a deal in a more straightforward vinyasa-based practice, but with so many difficult poses that are new to me I find it frustrating. Nicole moves quickly through ashtanga style transitions, which are, again, tough to follow when the voiceover is out of sync with the screen. I think she's also lacking in explaining how to get into (and out of!) the poses. This would be a really fun one if you're a very advanced and flexibie yogi who's already familiar with all of these poses.

2 of 5 Not What I Expected July 3, 2014
Reviewer: T from Tarpon Springs, FL United States
I'm not trying to discourage anyone from buying this. If you've seen the clip then you know this is a challenging workout that demands serious flexibility. I was hoping this would be something I could grow into. If the cueing actually matched the moves, then this workout would be amazing. As it is, I found it very difficult to follow. I would start into a move following her instruction and when I'd look up she was doing something completely different. If you can follow her better than I could then you'll probably like it.
