This 50 minute balanced workout kicks off with 15 minutes of some of our best mobility sequences emphasizing hip & thoracic spin mobility (two areas that suffer the most from too much sitting).The 20 minute high intensity standing portion of the workout has a clever mix of weighted movement patterns, fast body weight cardio and slow, heavy strength training to inspire your body to change.A robust 15 minute floor sequence uses old fashioned (2.5 lb) ankle weights to sizzle the hips and thighs, killer core work & traditional stretching. Over the years I have become all too familiar with clients rushing in to the studio to workout and skipping the warmup routine, often in the interest of time or the pursuit of intensity. As a culture we are experiencing more hours sitting than standing (or worse with your head down looking at your smart phone) like never before and our bodies are showing it.
The Signature Series introduces the significance of “moving better so you can move more”. Mobility and range of motion training are emphasized before, during and after the more desired “hot and sweaty program components”.
Strength training has always been at the heart of what we do. With this new combination of weighted & active stretching emphasized in the beginning of the workout the results will be multiplied! These 50+ minute workouts begin with 10-15 minutes of weighted and non-weighted mobility driven movement patterns followed by 35-40 minutes of high intensity, sweaty, resistance based cardio and strength training.
