Welcome to my Boosted Walk Series where I take things up a notch by adding various pieces of equipment to my walking exercises. Elevating on a step will up the burn in the lower body and adding light hand weights will challenge the upper body. You can choose your own level and even do the entire workout without extra equipment and work your way up to the more advanced level. Get ready to sweat and burn with this more advanced walking workouts! THE SET INCLUDES: Ankle Weights (26 min): a fun, 2500 step cardio sculpt workout using ankle weights and light hand weights to increase the burn! With 40 seconds of work and 10 seconds of rest, this all standing workout has a lot of variety to make time fly. I added some balance challenge moves to really fire the core and plenty of barre style arm movements to sculpt the arms. Band & Weights (26 min): a 2500 step cardio sculpt workout using a long band and light weights to burn fat and sculpt lean muscle. The timer is set to 40 seconds of work with 10 seconds rest with lots of fun combination moves to keep your body and mind engaged! Loop Band (29 min): all standing, 2500 step, cardio sculpt workout with plenty of variety. The timer is set to 40 seconds of work 10 seconds of rest with some more cardio driven intervals and some sculpting focused. There are some heart rate spikers with a little impact to promote bone density, but low impact modifications are always shown. Step Boxing (26 min): a 3000 step cardio kick boxing workout, using a step bench and light hand weights. There are 45 second intervals of work with 15 seconds rest. It is a no-repeat workout with lots of variety and easy to follow exercises. Upper Focus (36 min): a 3000 step cardio workout, using light and medium hand weights to work the upper body. There are 50 second intervals of work with 10 seconds rest with some more cardio driven exercises and others more sculpting. What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it! |
