Welcome to my SEATED CHAIR series! These workouts are designed for anyone who can only do seated workouts. They can be done by people who can use both their upper and lower body but have problems with joints or, for people who cannot use their legs, just the upper body portion can be used. They are perfect for fit seniors or anyone suffering with arthritis. Although they are seated, they are highly effective fat loss and muscle building workouts.
THE SET INCLUDES:
Ball & Ankle Weights - 25 min: The ball will be used between the hands to engage the upper body, as well as between the thighs to work your inner thighs. The workout uses 50 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest. It has some pure cardio intervals to get the heart rate up and some slower toning intervals to sculpt the muscles.
Cardio Express - 11 mins: uses not equipment other than the chair and has easy to follow exercises that will get your heart rate up, but will also give you a nice muscle burn. The clock is set to 40 seconds of work with 10 seconds rest.
Cardio Light Weights - 27 mins: uses light hand weights to work the upper body while doing simple stepping exercises with the lower body. The routine uses 40 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest with lots of variety and no repeated exercises.
Cardio Mobility - 25 mins: The exercises change every 40 seconds and vary between faster paced and slower, recovery sets. You will use a band for the stretch sculpting, mobility exercises (can use a belt). There are easier modifications shown throughout!
Dynamic Stretch - 10 mins: a short stretching routine using large range of motion to create mobility and lengthening.40 seconds per exercise with 10 seconds in between, this is perfect to do on a recovery day or after another workout.
Pilates Barre Fusion - 20 mins: a music only workout using 40 second intervals with 10 seconds of rest. It is a no equipment workout with gentle flowing exercises that have a nice stretch sculpt component to them. The exercises work your body from all different angles and also have a bit of a cardio factor to burn fat.
What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
