GET ALL 4 SHAPE UP SERIES WORKOUTS Welcome to the Shape Up Series. These 4 workouts are designed burn lots of calories and tone your muscles with fun cardio segments and tough sculpting exercises. You will use various equipment as well as just your body weight to chisel and define your entire body. The format is alternating 5 cardio exercises with 2 groups of 5 lower body, 2 groups of 5 upper body and 2 groups of 5 core exercises. THE WORKOUTS ARE: Mat (51 mins): In this workout you will alternate 5 fun high energy cardio exercises – knee pulls, high knees, butt kicks and mountain climbers – with traditional mat exercises for the entire body. Band (49 mins): In this workout you will alternate 5 old school aerobics moves – jacks, front kicks, side kicks, back kicks and butt kicks – with resistance loop lower body exercises, resistance band upper body exercises and Pilates style core exercises. Barre Box (47 mins): In this workout you will alternate 5 boxing cardio exercises – cross punches, side kicks, hooks and upper cuts – with traditional ballet barre standing and mat exercises using a small inflatable ball and chair. Slide Sculpt (43 mins): In this workout you will alternate 5 sliding disc cardio exercises – jacks, running man, hip twists, skaters and side to side squats – with weighted exercises for the entire body. Let's go work out together! What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it! |
