Welcome to my sickness recovery series. This series is designed for anyone who is currently sick or recovering from sickness, illness, injury, and still wants to do some light exercise. Sometimes a bit of gentle movement can actually aide the body with recovery and it also increases natural pain killer hormones. Be sure to listen to your body and only do as your doctor advises. These workouts are MUSIC ONLY, because I am recovering from a cold whilst filming them and don't want to cough too much!

THE SET INCLUDES:

Light Weights (17 min): a gentle, cardio sculpt, all standing workout that uses 45 second intervals per exercise. The easy to follow, exercises focus on arm toning with the light dumbbells with simple lower body steps. There are no fast movements

Chair Mobility (16 min): all seated workout that uses 30 second intervals per exercise with 10 seconds rest. It has some light cardio intervals and lots of dynamic stretching, with a hint of sculpting.

Total Band (17 min): all standing workout that uses 40 second intervals per exercise with 10 seconds rest. You will use the band during more cardio driven intervals and upper body toning intervals. Lots of shoulder work in this one as well as a nice stretch sculpt component to leave you feeling lengthened.

Pilates Mat (15 min): a gentle toning workout that uses 40 second intervals per exercise with 10 seconds rest. You will see side to side stretches, outer thigh raises, laying abs, inner thigh raises, glute bridge, modified push ups and seated dynamic stretches.

Stretch Sculpt (16 min): all standing workout that uses 40 second intervals per exercise with 10 seconds rest. It uses large range of motion exercises to get your body moving and to help dynamically stretch out aches and pains.

Gentle Cardio (16 mins): a flowing cardio workout with easy to follow steps that will get the blood pumping and elevate your mood. It uses 40 second intervals per exercise with 10 seconds rest. There is a nice stretching element to some of the exercises to lengthen tired muscles as well.

About The Instructor: Hi, I'm Linda - creator of Barlates Body Blitz. I have worked in the diet and fitness industry for most of my career and have created close to 1000 workout videos to bring my passion for exercise to you!

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
