My mother used to do this workout when it first came out on VHS when I was a little kid. I would watch her do this workout and try and do some of the moves myself (without any weights). When I saw that the Janet Jones Gretzky Firm DVD was available from Total Fitness DVDs I had to get it. It was so wonderful to be able to do this workout again as an adult. It really is a lot of fun and very effective. I understand why my mother was such a big fan of it.

I was very hesitant to order this,as I read so many mixed reviews-a lot of people said it had complicated,dancer type moves,which scared me since I have 2 left feet!Youwill never spot me in a Zumba class!I also saw that people complained that it was high impact and with my bad knees I was unsure if I should get this.Well,I took a deep breath this morning and put this in my DVD player and let me say I loved it!The moves were not hard to pick up and after doing the steps once or twice,I did great!I also felt that the aerobics were not too high impact-some jumping jacks and running,but not a lot of that.I also felt that the cheesy spandex and 80's hait added charm to this workout and I see myself doing this often!Trust me,if a 48 year old Klutz like me was able to nail this workout,it's worth a shot!

Another really good classic firm workout. Although this workout is a bit more dancey than I would typically pick, I was able to learn the moves without too much trouble. Although the name says it is "low impact" I would consider this more of a mixed impact workout. Janet does a great job cueing the moves and it provides a lot of compound moves that the firm is known for. I usually do the first half on one day and the second half on the next day and that works well for me as this workout is too long for me to do all at once. Even doing that, this workout makes me sweat. I would definitely recommend this workout.

If you like four-limbed/compound moves, this workout is for you.  Just has tough as Volume 1 but works you differently.  Love being able to shorten the workout with superb chaptering if I don't have time for the full 60 min.  Nothing makes me sweat like the "Anna Benson" FIRMS.
