GET ALL 4 TIGHTEN IT SERIES WORKOUTS Welcome to my TIGHTEN IT series, a set of workouts that use the resistance bands to chisel all those problem areas! You will see some interesting new combinations to keep your mind and body engaged. This series will help you create a leaner physique without any bulk! You will never outgrow these workouts - just get a heavier band and you will continue to be challenged! THE WORKOUTS ARE: Outer Thighs & Upper (29 mins): using a pilates band to engage the upper body you will work through unique combinations moves that target your arms, shoulders and back as well as your outer thighs, hips and glutes. There are lots of leg raise variations as well as diamond raises and some tough all fours exercises. You will see some push-ups and planks sprinkled throughout for some added challenge. Glutes and Thighs (32 mins): you will perform standing and mat exercises using the loop to intensify the challenge. Start with squats and leg raise combinations, some curtsy lunges with side leg lifts, then move to a down dog and knee pull variation and finish with an all fours burner on the mat. Front & Back of Thighs (32 mins): using the resistance loop you will work through quad and hamstring raises and extensions with angle variations to target the entire front and back of leg. There are seated, side lying and front lying exercises with high reps to really fatigue the muscles. Abs & Inner Thighs (31 mins): you will start with some unique Pilates style abs exercises. There are lots of teaser variations in this one so get ready to challenge your core! You will then use the resistance loop to chisel your inner thighs. Let's go work out together! What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time.
