My goal with all Tonique workouts is to provide an extreme and unique experience. At the end of each workout, I want everyone to experience a sense of accomplishment, and feel stimulated both physically and mentally. Tonique is not your average workout!

Tonique Definitions is designed to elevate your fitness to the next level and to create a highly defined body. It will challenge you both physically and mentally. The workout reflects the central beliefs of Tonique in the benefits of a high number of repetitions and combinations of multi-directional lunges, squats, planks, and jumps which will truly make you athletic. Tonique Definitions will work and define your entire body, while also helping you develop incredible endurance and improve your balance.
For years, I have been advocating using Tonique workouts as “Me Time.” This is your time when you are able to push and challenge yourself, and there is no one to judge you. As I like to say, during Me Time there is “just you and your shadow.” When filming Tonique Definitions, I decided to take that concept literally. Therefore when you watch me working out with you, you see my shadow.

While the principal objective of Tonique method is to make you a fitter, more confident person, Tonique also focuses on providing you the buttocks and body you have always dreamt about. I want every woman to look fabulous and be noticed. However, Tonique goes beyond fitness and visuals, encouraging you to believe in yourself and not the promises others make to you.


"Born to Move" is an expression which highlights the importance of movement. We must train daily towards our fitness goals and never give up. I live and breathe to create the best workouts for all who wish to live their lives to the fullest and the fittest, but my passion for improving lives goes beyond fitness. My mission is to introduce you to a new way of living and embracing life through movement. Tonique is your way to never stop moving, and celebrating life through movement.

W/O 1 Seg 1: I don't have hip/knee issues, but if you do, I can see how they'd be aggravated. There's no w/u or c/d if you do just this one section. This section has lots of squats w/a little floor work. You work all one side then move onto the other side - you really feel the burn! I'd say it is Lt-Md cardio w/steady state cardio & more endurance. Easy to modify w/your arms (lighter weights, bend at elbow).

I will add reviews as I do the other sections.

Born to Move features Sylwia's signature high rep squats and lunges, but she adds tons of new creative moves. There are 3 workouts on this DVD. The first is long (I think it feels longer than it is!) and she stays on one leg for something like 35 minutes before switching. The second is short and pure cardio. The third is a little less than an hour and feels like a combo of the first two. The set's not great but I'm too busy working hard to care. I love the first workout - I feel so awesome when I'm done. Like Sylwia says, if you can do Tonique you can do anything!

Sylwia is pleasant and has a good energy about her. Her workouts are too fast paced for me to focus on having great form. To me the most important thing is having great form to get the most out of a workout. I don't like her set either. Those of you who love Tracey Anderson this might be something you love.

Yet another super tough Tonique workout.  This one will prepare you for Femme Fatale which is the toughest Tonique workout so far. Workout 1 has two segments.  The first one is really tough and long, almost 75 minutes, and reminds me of Addicted to Movement but with more standing leg work.  The second segment is less than 40 mins and of both segments it has more cardio intervals.  Very tough as well. I do these segments on different days.  There's also workout 2 and it is my favorite.  It is about 52 minutes long, but they go fast.  The DVD also comes with a dynamic stretching bonus segment called Energy Stretch.  This bonus also appears on the Energy Mat DVD.

I have to say Born to Move is great!  The music is perfect, the exercises are very tough and I love the chapters and the way it is structured.  Highly recommended for advanced Tonique enthusiasts.
