Tonique Femme Fatale DVD is a continuation of Tonique Born to Move. There is a natural progression between the workouts, and Tonique Femme Fatale introduces new moves which add challenges and make you work harder and with greater body control. Tonique Femme Fatale is divided into Three Phases. Each Phase can be used alone or combined with another, or used in combination with other Tonique workouts. If you are seeking a real challenge, you can do all three Phases as a single workout. There are three additional sections on the DVD. Verve, which is a mini cool down, Sway a.k.a. Suspension Workout and Tonique Express Workout. These are bonuses from me to further motivate you to never stop moving.

P1: Easy to follow/modify. This phase is Lt-Md cardio w/more toning due to deep moves. You have to be paying attention as to when Phase #2 starts since there isn't a verbal clue. As another poster said, the editing is off b/t Phase 1&2 &you'll work your legs unevenly.
P3: I used two 3-lb dumbbells. This phase was standing only w/mainly squats, kicks &donkey kicks. There were tons of reps, however I was not bored &it didn't feel mundane. I'd consider this a cardio phase (kept me @steady state cardio the whole time w/o me even realizing it) &also endurance. I did miss about the 1st 7 reps of each new exercise since the queuing is not great &the camera angle wouldn’t let me easily figure out if she was doing a front or 45 degree squat. However, she does tons of reps, so I certainly made up for it. My calves got a good workout due to the back squats. The music has a good beat to keep me engaged. I was a sweaty mess after just this one phase. My HR monitor said 439cal, 145avg HR, 160max HR

Femme Fatale is the hardest Tonique workout in my opinion and one I do often. Not the one to start with if someone is new to Tonique, even if they are advanced exercisers. I do phases 1 and 3 constantly, sometimes together and other times in separate days.  Phase 3 is my favorite with all the mini headstands and creative moves. Phase 1 is the shortest, but still intense.  I like to use it just before going out for a run to warm up my muscles or before a weight workout. Phase 2 is too long for me, but when I do it I just pick my favorite segments instead of doing the whole 2 hours.  Note: There is a minor editing mistake at the end of phase 1.  It should end at 30 minutes, but it doesn't, and Sylwia starts working out one leg and then it moves to phase 2 without working out the other leg, just a heads up, it can be solved by either stopping at 30 minutes, just after the plank exercise, or by working out both legs evenly when the phase ends.

This DVD is so versatile. There's an express workout, Sway (a suspended workout), and Verve (a core workout), in addition to the main workout, which is split into 3 phases.  Phase 2 is over two hours and absolutely grueling. I love that it is mostly low impact but still makes my heart rate skyrocket. All of the Tonique DVDs are extremely hard, but the creative moves and Sylwia's bubbly personality make them addicting.
