Welcome to my TOTAL CHAIR series! These workouts are designed for anyone who can only do seated workouts. They can be done by people who can use both their upper and lower body but have problems with joints or, for people who cannot use their legs, just the upper body portion can be used. They are perfect for seniors or anyone suffering with arthritis. Although they are seated, they are highly effective fat loss and muscle building workouts that will make you sweat and burn a lot of calories in a short amount of time.

THE SET INCLUDES:

Warm Up (7 min): a gentle cardio routine to heat up the entire body. Some dynamic stretching to help lengthen and prime the muscles ready for your workout.

Cardio (21 min): a high energy, cardio routine to help you burn fat! The exercises change every 40 seconds and vary between faster paced and slower, recovery sets. No difficult choreography in this one, just easy to follow steps and arm exercises that will burn a ton of calories.

Core (25 min): a fun, all seated, cardio and toning routine with lots of variety! The exercises change every 40 seconds and vary between faster paced exercises to elevate the heart rate and slower, more controlled sculpting exercises using light hand weights.

Upper Body (22 min): you will do cardio intervals and weighted upper body exercises, all whilst seated in a chair. The exercise changes every 50 seconds with 10 seconds rest between sets. No difficult choreography in this one, just easy to follow steps and arm exercises that will burn a ton of calories.

Lower Body (26 min): use light hand weights to increase the burn of seated leg exercises. This workout has cardio and toning with 40 second intervals and 10 seconds of rest. It is a great way to build muscle whilst also burning fat.

Kick Box (17 min): a short and sharp cardio kick boxing workout with lots of punches and kicks to work the arms and legs. You will get your heart rate up with this spicy little workout.

Stretch (11 min): can be used after a workout to cool down and stretch, or on a rest day to help alleviate tightness. It is an all seated routine designed for all levels. It is perfect for people with injuries or disabilities. You will finish feeling lengthened and relaxed

What is Barlates Body Blitz: Barlates is a fusion style workout that borrows from pilates, barre, ballet, yoga and more traditional cardio and toning. The idea was to create a workout, which flows seamlessly from one move into the next using the principles of isotension and high repetitions to build long, lean muscles. By using a lighter weight with high repetitions the exercises are designed to target all of those underused smaller muscle groups resulting in a defined, lengthened dancer's physique. This is a real girls workout in the sense that it is fun and feminine, but don't get me wrong it is still super intense with a big burn factor! The workouts are designed to be mixed and matched with an array of 20-30 minute upper body, lower body, abdominal and total body workouts that can be strung together for a longer session or done individually if you are short on time. These workouts will hit all those trouble spots and best of all you don't even need to wear shoes to do them! Get ready to sweat, puff and burn - hopefully you'll love every minute of it!
