5 of 5 Good Workouts for the Abs and the Glutes July 6, 2014

This DVD comprises five 10 minute workouts that I like to use as add-ons, sometimes after doing Phase 1 or Phase 2 from her DVD "Get Your Body Back". Two segments target the glutes, three the abs.  
I haven't recently had a baby and the workouts still feel properly challenging for me, so don't let the post-pregnancy theme put you off.  These are solid pilates-based little workouts that feel very effective.
Tracey and Erica do the exercises in sneakers, but I've done them barefoot too.  
There's a section at the beginning of the workout where Tracey explains how to engage the abs after giving birth, and how to work with diastasis recti.  
I think these workouts are good for beginners, because of the form pointers and the gradual progression from easier to harder, but they are also good for inremediate to advanced exercisers.

I enjoy Tracey Mallett's Booty Barre series & thought I'd give this ab dvd a shot since my stomach isn't what it used to be. This dvd is geared toward post-natal women (which I can't say I am, as my son is 5), but it can be used by anyone. I bought this DVD thinking it would be all ab exercises, but there are about 20 minutes focusing on bun, thighs & hamstrings. Actually, I found those sections to be more challenging the ab sections. The dvd is broken up in levels (ab level 1, ab level 2 etc.). If you use the entire dvd, it is a little choppy as some of the same exercises are in both levels.  Otherwise it's a solid workout from a great instructor.
