Tracie is a superb and motivating instructor.  I thought this workout offered an interesting mix of techniques.  Really like the medicine ball, but also her choice of weighted exercises was very good and the third section was challenging and fun.  The only thing that was somewhat odd is that she was huffing and puffing through the workout as if she was out of shape.  Other than that, this is a wining workout.

I love Tracie's style: she cues well and every movement she puts in in her workout is for a purpose. I was a little worried when I purchased Staying Power because I completely disliked another one of Tracie's "Longevity" workouts. But she definitely had her mojo back on this one. I consider it a light version of Tracie Long Training: Better Burn...Better Buns, which I love. Staying Power requires 3 sets of weights (approximately 5, 8, & 10 lbs or maybe a bit heavier in poundage), a small medicine ball (I used a 4 lb) and a mat. Staying Power was approx. 51 minutes long and consisted of circuit training: cardio with the medicine ball & strength training with the weights. My heart rate monitor stated that I burned a little more than 300 calories. I'm glad that Tracie is still producing quality workouts. I will definitely include this in my interval rotation.

Tracie Long always puts her own stamp on her workouts; they are creative with fresh moves and a functional fitness feel, incorporating balance, agility, core strength and rotational movements. In fact, I recognised some of the moves in "Staying Power", such as the “rocking horse” while holding a med ball, from her earlier, functional fitness-focused Tracie Long Training DVDs.

“Staying Power” is a cardio/weights workout which includes fun med ball work, boxing, metabolic strength training, and barre-style moves. This description makes it sound like a mish-mash, but as always, Tracie provides smooth transitions and never wastes a moment.
